Allergies are increasingly being defined as the new scabies of the 21st century. And this fact is not only in humans, but also in dogs. Polluted air, GMO products, even stress are increasingly triggering allergies in our pets. It is clear that if an allergy is detected, you must definitely contact a veterinarian and he will prescribe the necessary medications to treat your puppy. But there is also a proven method that will certainly relieve the itching and help your pet feel better.
Oatmeal bath.
It has been tried and proven that oatmeal baths relieve the symptoms of acute itching and skin allergies. You can help your four-legged friend by grinding a small amount of oatmeal into a fine powder using a food processor or blender and then mixing it with a small amount of water. The resulting mixture, which resembles porridge, is applied to the entire body of the animal, and you can apply a larger amount to the most red and affected areas. Avoid the area around the ears and eyes. Then wait a few minutes and wash with lukewarm water. You will see for yourself how your puppy will calm down and will not want to scratch the most irritated areas of the skin.
It is a good idea to repeat the procedure every week and remember that this is not a substitute for the preparations and medications prescribed by your veterinarian.
